We look at where you are at now with your fitness, get you clear on where you want to be and map out a strategy to get you there. Quarterly Challenge:
Having a goal to work towards is a great way to motivate yourself to train. In 08 we are offering our members the opportunity to join in on a team event each quarter. The first event is the Fremantle Corporate Teams Triathlon on March 30th. We highly recommend you give it a go. This is a perfect event for a first timer into triathlons and a great motivator to get you training with a group. Contact the front desk or your coach to book in ASAP. All proceeds from this event go to the Fremantle Hospital, so not only are you getting fit by entering but also supporting a great charity.

We have an early morning six weekly outdoor exercise program starting on February 25th. Not only is this an excellent fitness program run by a number of high profile sports people, but also a great social/networking opportunity with a luncheon and mid program drinks meeting incorporated into the program There are only 10 more places left .......

We welcome two new faces to the Essence team –
Stacey Merrifield – our new customer service manager. Stacey comes to us with a strong background in both admin and customer service, we think she’s great and hope you will too! By the way for those of you who don’t know she is Davina’s daughter – nothing like keeping it in the family!!!
Natalie Koh – Is the new coach on our coaching team. Natalie is a university qualified Sport Science graduate. Her contagiously fun and motivational personality are already making her a very popular coach. We welcome Natalie to the team.

Falls and hip fractures rates in all older people can be reduced by strength and balance retraining exercises, Australian Physiotherapy Association president, Cathy Nall, said.
One in three adults over the age of 65 will experience a fall this year, which can result in injury and even death. Among the injuries, hip fracture will be the most common – especially for women – and can seriously affect a person’s ability to remain independent ......
