Welcome to our Spring newsletter. As the season suggests now is the time to “spring” into action to get your self looking and feeling great for the summer months. This season we have two strategies to help you achieve the results you are after:
1) Move and Shape Programs:
Using our new Kinesis equipment we are about to start the first two of a series of exciting new Kinesis training programs. Developed in Europe by Technogym, these programs are taking the fitness world in both Europe and the States by storm.
Shape Program:
Kinesis shape is a dynamic calorie burning movement program, targeted to get individuals back into shape or redefine their shape.
The program tones the muscles from the lower limbs and core (legs/glutes/thighs/abs) in a workout which elevates the heart rate and fits perfectly into a weight loss program.
Customer Profile - Individuals, especially women, who want to change the shape of their body, burn calories and tone the lower limbs and core.
All different fitness levels and ages can join the Kinesis Shape program.
Move Program:
Program Benefits: Kinesis Move improves the efficiency in movements used 'every day'.
It works on static and dynamic posture which will lead to an energetic appearance and strong core muscles.
Flexibility and mobility are trained to prevent strain to the spine and prevent lower back pain. Balance is trained to increase joint stability and avoid injury.
Customer Profile - Individuals who realise that regular exercise will enhance their health and quality of life and people who are looking to improve their everyday wellbeing.
The programs are run both as small group training courses with 4 - 8 people in each group.
The courses will run for 6 weeks and over the next few months we will be building up the number of courses each week as demand dictates.

2) Weight Loss Program:
Our highly successful weight loss program recognises that there is no single magic ingredient in weight loss and takes a multi pronged approach which varies to suit individual requirements. The key ingredients to the program are :
- regular exercise
- balanced nutrition
- a well structured and monitored program which keeps you accountable to achieving the results you have targeted.
This 6 week program which has already achieved weight loss for hundreds of people will ensure that you rapidly shed unwanted kilos before summer and more importantly teach you strategies that will assist you in maintaining your weight loss long term.

Club Upgrades:
New Cardio Theatre sound system.
We have introduced a new cardio theatre system to the gym that enables members to plug headphones (available for purchase at the front desk) into each piece of cardio equipment to listen to both free to air TV channels and our new in house music video channel. Both music and videos will be regularly updated each month. We hope you enjoy this new addition to the club.
New Cardio Equipment:
We have introduced 3 new Matrix treadmills and two new Johnson cross trainers to our cardio line up. These machines are considered by many to be the best available and should be a welcome addition to the cardio section of our gym.
New Team Members.
We would like to welcome both Kristina and MJ (Ming Jing) to our coaching team. Although Kristina has been with us for a while she has just completed her sports science degree at ECU and is now a fully fledged coach on the Essence Team.
MJ an honours graduate in Human Movement form UWA joins the team as a well experienced coach.
Both coaches are currently building their client bases and happy to offer complimentary sessions to any members considering taking on a coaching program for Spring.
Keep your training dynamic:
One of the keys to continuing to get good results in a fitness program is remembering to regularly challenge yourself with new exercises.
Your membership entitles you to regular 12 weekly program resets. We recommend you book in for your next session if you have not had one in the last 12 weeks.
It is important to us that you are being constantly challenged and extended in your program. If you are not 100% happy with your current program we want to know about it.
